Cookie Shopping

We have this little list of cookies we plan to bake this Cookie Day.

To fill this short list, we will need 50 pounds of flour, 15 pounds of granulated sugar, 15 pounds of butter, 10 pounds of brown sugar, 10 pounds of powdered sugar, 10 pounds of assorted nuts, 8 pounds of cream cheese and/or mascarpone, 5 pounds of assorted dried fruits, 5 pounds of turbinado sugar, 5 pounds of honey, 5 pounds of chocolate chips, 3 pounds of colored sugar crystals, 2 pounds of colored sugar sand, 2 pounds of cocoa powder, 2 pounds of white chocolate, 2 pounds of peppermint candies, 1 pound of ground cinnamon, 1/2 pound of ground ginger, 7 dozen eggs (maybe more, we aren't sure about egg quantities yet), 20 lemons, 10 oranges, 8 apples, 8 pears, 5 bananas, and several bottles of flavorings (vanilla, mostly, with some peppermint extract) and colorings.

Then, we need to get a dozen boxes suitable for mailing cookies and some extra packing materials.

The cookies we deliver locally won't need as sturdy a set of boxes. Those cookies can wait until closer to the real Cookie Day.

Starting tomorrow, we'll post pictures and recipes (of smaller batches) of the cookies as we bake them.

If you're not baking cookies yourself, you can vicariously enjoy them here.
